Meet STH Ningbo!

You take excitement where you can get it and when you sell ball bearings, finding a new supplier is exciting. And finding a superstar supplier is downright thrilling!

With that in mind, we are pleased to introduce you to STH, a premier manufacturer of miniature, instrument and small-size bearings. Their capabilities and products are on par with the largest and best known bearing manufacturers in the world.

STH consistently manufactures high-quality bearings for demanding applications like medical X-ray, CT, MRI, dental handpieces (up to 450,000 RPM) and instrument bearings for applications such as rotary encoders.

How good are they? They've recently been qualified as a supplier to Siemens for medical applications. And one of our customers - an encoder manufacturer in the Northwest US - has been so pleased with STH's products (from packaging to performance to price) that they will replace their current bearing made in Japan with the STH bearing manufactured in China.

This virtually unheard of decision was made after thorough testing when it was determined that "STH surpassed quality expectations while providing a substantial price advantage." Why are we so confident?

  • All dimensions and tolerances are 100% inspected
  • Testing to meet or beat customer dB levels covering noise and vibration
  • Grease fills can be controlled via free void volume (gram weight) if preferred
  • Normally, grade 10 or grade 25 balls are used; however, to overcome a critical noise situation for the customer mentioned above, we provided a grade 5 ball
  • Steel balls, chrome and stainless, are provided by Amatsuji, Japan; reputed to be one of the finest ball manufacturers in the world
  • Ceramic balls are provided by St. Gobain, USA
  • Cage materials (phenolic or torlon) are sourced from the USA

In short - with STH as with all of our suppliers - we can provide bearings to fit any application.

Thus, though manufactured in China, STH produces an international bearing on par with the finest miniature, instrument and small-sized bearings in the world.

And, yes, we are thrilled to welcome them to our network! Want to learn more? Let us know below.

NOTE: this post was published previously. Don't mind me; I'm tinkering with the design and my OCD is manifesting.
