Former Bearing General president joins Kennametal

Kennametal Inc. has hired the former president of General Bearing Corp. to lead its industrial business segment. The Latrobe-based manufacturer said Charles Byrnes Jr. will assume the post of Kennametal (NYSE:KMT) vice president and executive vice president of its industrial business segment, effective Dec. 7. Byrnes has about 30 years of experience in the metals components industry and previously held leadership positions at Accuride Corp. and The Timken Co.
